Sequentially coupled structural modelling of LSF floor-ceiling systems

چکیده

Fire resistance levels provide a standardised measurement of building elements' fire under structural, integrity and insulation criteria, are usually obtained from standard full-scale tests. However, these tests consume excessive time money thus the use validated advanced numerical models is preferred. This paper presents details sequentially coupled structural modelling study LSF floor-ceilings made Lipped Channel beam (LCB) rivet fastened Rectangular Hollow Flange (RHFCB) section joists used in eight different floor-ceiling configurations, its results. Ambient temperature finite element (FE) LCB RHFCB were developed first using experimental Full scale test results floor system then to validate FE model analysed approach utilising time-temperature profiles same test. Finally, models, effects range influential parameters such as joist types configurations investigated. The resistance/failure times versus load ratio showed that new gave only minor improvements, however, they provided superior bearing capacities. improved significantly when more gypsum plasterboard layers used. thin steel sheathing also failure times, recommended exposed layer due ability prevent fall-off. suitable critical mid-web temperatures proposed for predicting systems.

Meaningful use: Floor or ceiling?

BACKGROUND In 2011, federal incentive payments for meaningful use of electronic health records (EHRs) began. This study evaluates the impact of the program on hospitals and EHR vendors, identifying how it affects EHR planning and development. Specifically, it assesses whether vendors and Chief Information Officers (CIOs) are viewing the meaningful use requirements as a floor - the minimally acc...

The Vector Floor and Ceiling Model¤

This paper motivates and develops a nonlinear extension of the Vector Autoregressive model which we call the Vector Floor and Ceiling model. Bayesian and classical methods for estimation and testing are developed and compared in the context of an application involving U.S. macroeconomic data. In terms of statistical signi ̄cance both classical and Bayesian methods indicate that the (Gaussian) li...

On the floor and the ceiling of a divisor

Given a divisor A of a function field, there is a unique divisor of minimum degree that defines the same vector space of rational functions as A and there is a unique divisor of maximum degree that defines the same vector space of rational differentials as A. These divisors are called the floor and the ceiling of A. A method is given for finding both the floor and the ceiling of a divisor. The ...

Vibration reduction in lightweight floor/ceiling systems with a sand-sawdust damping layer

This paper shows how to use a mathematical model to predict the vibration of lightweight timber-framed floor/ceiling systems (LTFSs) caused by mechanical excitation. The LTFS considered here is made up of an upper floor layer, a cavity space with timber joists and a ceiling. These components are joined by timber battens, ceiling furring channels and ceiling clips. The vibration in the structure...
